Tooku he

7. Tooku he

The train crosses over a large bridge
Slowly but surely, the scenery
starts reflecting a calm town

I fling off my shoes and look outside
The small child on the other side
became envious

I might have gotten
on this train
to run away
to forget

I want to think that
my sorrows
are insignificant
I will go and search for
the air that goes on wherever

I didn’t want to make you worry
with the phone I grasped tightly yesterday
So I wanted to hang up quickly

Even in a narrow tunnel
I know that before long
there will be an exit

I want to think that
there’s also an exit
to my darkness
Each time I slip through the tunnel
I found it, the sky that’s breaking through

I want to think that
my sorrows
are insignificant
I came to search for
the air that goes on wherever

Even if I cried with all my might
it doesn’t mean that
tomorrow will simply change
Even so, every single day
I will go walking on
