It’s been a while since I’ve been in this town, it’s still as quiet as it used to be
That shop that I often visited on the other side of my elementary school

The worn-out paper patchwork in the lowered shutters,
Will it blur away like this along with time until it becomes a memory?

The nostalgic scenery, the people I love
I hope it will stay like this without changing

I’m glad we can meet, as long as we can spend time together
Saying farewell is just sad, however
I wonder if it was okay to come back here for a short time

I’ve gradually become used to that town as well, so
don’t worry and watch me, okay? I’ve tried putting it into words a lot of times

The busy everyday life, the overflowing crowds of people,
the beautiful nightscape city becomes almost painful

The traffic passes through, always when I go home
That pitch dark room is there, I wonder since when, before I realize
I’ve become unable to even say ‘I’m home’

It may be a bit sad to think of where the people went
but when I open the door, there is a voice that says ‘Welcome home’

I’m glad we can meet, as long as we can spend time together
saying farewell is just sad, but you know what, I’m definitely glad
that I came back here

I want to say it time and time again, ‘I’m home’, and ‘Welcome home’

I’ll come back home again, I will do my best until then
Let me say it again, ‘I’m home’
